Social Security Administration Recognizes
Berks Encore with Highest Honors

The Social Security Administration recently presented two Public Service Awards to Berks Encore.

Berks Encore News was recognized for its continued assistance in providing the public with articles and information covering current Social Security issues. Carolyn Krebs, Director of Information and Referral Services, accepted the award for Berks Encore News. Martha Sitler, Vice President of Education, received an award for her efforts in keeping the public aware of the various Social Security entitlement programs. The awards were presented by Stan Fromuth on behalf of Laurie Watkins, Social Security's Regional Commissioner.

"The Social Security Administration takes great pride in recognizing the work of Berks Encore News with one of our highest honors - the Public Service Award. This distinction is in appreciation of the valuable role they serve in the community. Our agency commends them for their commitment to promoting a greater understanding of our programs through the publication of informational articles on a regular basis," Watkins notes.
