| HelpLink Network of Agencies |
|
The economic downturn doesn't only affect those who may be laid off or have had their income reduced. It can also impact family members who worry that their sons, daughters and grandchildren may not be able to purchase food or pay the rent. If you, your family or one of your friends is having trouble making ends meet and don't know where to turn, help is available. Berks Encore is part of the HelpLink Network of agencies under the United Way of Berks County's umbrella. The HelpLink Network provides a comprehensive guide to community resources in Berks County and includes a complete list of nonprofit agencies as well as key information about their services and how to access them. |
| Why make an appointment at a HelpLink site? |
| Trying to manuever through the maze of available services can become overwhelming. Instead of trying to go it alone, let the trained HelpLink Network agency staff and volunteers help you to search for the benefits and programs for which you may be eligible. Volunteers also offer support in finding community services that can assist you with other needs. Sites are located around Berks County, and operate at varying times. To view a comprehensive list of HelpLink Network agencies, please visit the United Way's Web site at http://www.uwberks.org/ and click on the HelpLink Directory for Social Services link located at the bottom of the homepage. |
